No Bingo :(

OOOO January 1st Krishna had some dreams and goals yall!

I’m so proud of all the things I accomplished in these past three months but I’ll tell you, I’ve been challenged to write this blog post. I couldn’t figure out what to focus on or how to turn it into a positive. What would you care about? So I’ve decided to write this for me in hopes that it helps you.

Let’s start with the squares that didn’t get an X.

3 Market Sign Ups – I mentioned this in my check-in. But there literally wasn’t enough time for me to comfortably do this and uphold my familial priorities. This was put in as an answer to my need for social connection.

2 Gallery Events – I’m not ready for this yet nor do I have clarity on what types of galleries I want to work with. Until I create a larger body of work this will continue to allude me. This was also put in an answer to my need for social connection.

Cardio 3x a week – So I get RYZE Matcha and they also have a Hot Chocolate flavor. Well for two weeks in January I was drinking Hot Chocolate in the morning and not realizing that it was meant to help fall asleep. I felt sooo tired and lacked energy and couldn’t figure out why – until I did. Ooops.

In February we had about 2.5 weeks of sickness rolling through our home so the 3x a week fell to the wayside.

6 Reels for Artist Alcove – I talked about it on Stories but I didn’t set aside the time to create content specifically around this. Instead I focused my time on setting up systems and making the Alcove a space that I can easily create content around.

Stretch 3x a week – see Cardio 3x a week lol

5 Fantasy Sketches and 4 The Hands that Hold Us – I’m putting myself through a self-created work/study program. I have a plan on how I want to build my art career keeping my values at the forefront. That being said, I pivoted and focused on creating journals, and launch strategies around the journals. After taking in the lessons from Summer Selvin of focusing on the main thing and working on tasks that move the needle I was able to easily identify busy work from work that would get me closer to the life I want.

In the spot of Markets and Galleries, I’ve joined three communities where I want to build my relationships and reputation. This feels more aligned with my goals and removes the uneasiness of “networking”

Meeting a bunch of people in a setting for a few hours and then getting home to try to build relationships isn’t something that will enable me to build authentic connections. Whereas participating in these groups will give put me in spaces with the same individuals over a period of time. It’ll provide me an opportunity to support and celebrate them and give me a space to ask questions, build partnerships, and make friends.

If you check in your goals you set out for yourself, give yourself grace for where you land. Celebrate your wins and understand your hurdles. We don’t know what we don’t know and the only way to gain this wisdom is to take action.

For Q2 the bingo card will be 4×4 and allow me to really focus on the tasks that get me closer to my ideal life. I’ll be sharing it soon but subscribe to my newsletter (see below) to get all bts!
